Jonathan Maxwell is author of ‘The Edge’, a timely and deeply practical book that examines how competition for resources is pushing the world, and its climate, to the brink – and what we can do about it. Jonathan’s career in finance spans over 26 years. He has been a specialist investor in sustainable projects and companies for last 15 years, having established and run one the first dedicated investment firms, Sustainable Development Capital, dedicated to sustainable investing, initially in the UK and then around the world. Jonathan has been a pioneer of investment in energy efficiency, arguing that sustainability is synonymous with resource efficiency, while energy efficiency represents the largest and fastest source of clean energy, energy security and productivity gains. ‘The Edge’ is due to be published in the Autumn of 2023 by Hachette.
